Los Angeles, CA (April 11, 2018) – Prime Focus Technologies (PFT), the technology arm of Prime Focus, is demonstrating its on-going commitment to system security here at NAB 2018 with enhancements to the company’s flagship Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software suite, CLEAR™. From multi-factor authentication to watermarking, PFT’s CLEAR sets new industry benchmarks for security best practices. “We understand the critical need for information protection in media asset management applications, and the enhancements we continue to implement for CLEAR provide a real solution,” said Caesar Sedek, Chief Security Officer, Prime Focus Technologies. “We are pleased to announce that we are the first and only company whose security efforts have been recognized by DPP for both broadcast and production MAM solutions. With these improvements, the risk mitigation of people, processes, and technology is unified and more robust from end-to-end, delivering safer and more secure operations.” "We're delighted that Prime Focus Technologies has been awarded the DPP Committed to Security mark for both Broadcast and Production. These awards demonstrate Prime Focus Technologies’ clear commitment to cybersecurity best practice, and to playing their part in building a more secure media supply chain," says DPP Managing Director, Mark Harrison. CLEAR now includes several new features that significantly enhance security, including: OKTA Identity Cloud – AD integrations, multi-factor authentication, and Single Sign On (SSO) capabilities. Integrating with OKTA also helps deploy more modern methods of multi-factor authentication like Google Authenticator, Yubikey, etc. Pre-Release Content Security – localization operations for pre-release content is secured with a streaming solution rather than a proxy copy and delivery solution. Additional features include OKTA-driven U2F-based MFA, just-in-time access for content operations tasks, and instream watermarking. Media Exchange Security – all content leaving the premises is made secure with visible and forensic watermarking to enable source tracing. Applies to OTT/VOD and ad-hoc transfers as well as screeners Desktop App for Secured Content Downloads & playback – with the new CLEAR Desktop App and Player, content downloads on local desktops will now be in encrypted form only. Such encrypted content will playback only within the CLEAR Desktop Player. Through these enhancements, all elements of the CLEAR ERP software suite, including user authentication, content management, media operations and media exchange, are even more secure. CLEAR offers broadcasters, studios, brands, and service providers transformational solutions that help them lower their Total Cost of Operations (TCOP) by automating business processes around content and managing their business of content better.
